If your vehicle's emission test could not be found by the Department of Licensing
we apologize for any inconvenience and we will try to assist you as quickly
as possible.

Please note that the following criteria must be met before we can assist you:

Your vehicle must have had an emission test conducted in Washington State.

In 2009, odd model year vehicles 1985 through 1995 and even model year vehicles 1996
through 2004 need an emission test before licensing. An emission test may also be
required before some private party title transfers.
If your
vehicle does not fall in this category contact a vehicle licensing
agent (see below).

The vehicle must have a passed or waived emission test within the last 365 days.
|

|
|
|
|
|

It has been at least 24 hours since the emission test was conducted.

If all these criteria have been met, but your vehicle was inspected without a
Washington State license plate you will have to visit a vehicle licensing office.

|
If you have not been able to get a Washington State emission test because your
vehicle is currently out of state use Ecology Form No. 020-9 to renew your tabs.
