| Connecting To The DLC | ||

The inspection system DLC connector cable end is designed to match the shape and pin locations of the DLC.
With the ignition switched OFF the scan tool cable connector is plugged into the DLC. Caution: The DLC connector should never be connected or disconnected unless the ignition switch is OFF. If the connector cannot be plugged into the DLC, because the DLC is damaged or missing, your vehicle fails the test and the DLC will need to be repaired or replaced before your vehicle can be tested. |

| Once connected the inspection system checks to see whether all the"Supported" monitors are in "Ready" status. |
